Our objectives are:

Immediate Objective

  • To initiate institutional capacity building to effectively and efficiently co-ordinate KPDP’s programmes and activities.
  • Individual networking and co-ordinating with other stake holders both locally and internationally.

Short-term Objectives

To create awareness regarding the rights and concerns of Persons With Disabilities.

Long-term Objectives

  • To seek greater involvement of disabled people in Development and decision-making organs.

  • To encourage the integration of disability issues in mainstream development work and processes.

  • To advocate for legislative reform on matters pertaining to human, civil and legal rights of Persons With Disabilities.

  • To lobby for and facilitate access of persons with disabilities to quality Health Care.

  • To lobby for and facilitate access of persons with disabilities to quality education and training.

  • To lobby for and facilitate access of persons with disabilities to equal opportunities in social-economic empowerment.

  • To establish liaison regional offices in the 8 provinces throughout Kenya for grassroots intervention.

  • Participate and offer relief services whenever there is need or an emergency.

  • Funds raising for our organization and our member organizations affiliated to us.

  • To acquire a plot and construct KPDP Headquarters.

  • To lobby for and access land on which persons with disabilities can settle.

  • Establish an Endowment Disability Trust Fund.

  • To lobby for wheelchairs and mobility equipments for free distribution to People With Disabilities.
