We are currently seeking volunteers to help with our programmes:

i. Online Volunteer: Online Volunteers are required urgently to connect officials of KPDP staff from Nairobi Kenya with field Volunteers in the following cities where we are visiting for their Networking and Funds Raising Mission:Washington DC, New York, Minneapolis, Omaha, Iowa and Los Angeles among others. Their trip starts in Washington DC on 13th March 2004 and ends up mid April 2004. There problem would be to be linked to potential partners in those cities who may include individuals, churches, grant makers, government agencies with focus to Kenya or East Africa. They also need to be supported with accommodation, guidance in and around the Cities for the purpose of meeting possible partners, transport and other small incidental expenses.

ii. Online Volunteer Managers (3 vacancies): Must be very experienced to run and coordinate KPDP matters online on our behalf.

iii. Funds Raisers and Resource Mobilization Volunteers: We are looking for experienced Funds Raisers Volunteers to raise funds for our work in Kenya of improving the living standards of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and to protect their civil rights.

iv. Grant Searchers and Grant Writers Volunteers: We need Grant Searchers Volunteers who can undertake our research work and develop high caliber fundable project proposals at a short notice. Applicants must be men and women with sound experience and willing to achieve positive results in their work.

v. Humanitarian Donation Searchers: Humanitarian Donation Volunteers are required who can collect and ship to Kenya new or used serviceable invalid equipments such as wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, white canes and hearing aides, Braille machines, computers and other related humanitarian donations aimed at improving the living standards of the poor persons with disabilities in Kenya.

We will need them to seek for donations of new or used clothings, blankets and food for free distribution to severely disabled persons orphans and widows whom we serve.

We will need them to collect computers and funds to assist us set up IT Centers in areas where we work particularly rural areas where such facilities cannot be accessed.

v. Consultants Volunteers: To advise of project management, strategic planning and to be consulted from time to time on general management of a non-profit organization in Kenya that can deliver effectively to its target persons.

vi. Project Coordinators Volunteers (2 vacancies): To help strengthen our management institution in Kenya. One Volunteer will set up a Micro Finance Credit programme specifically for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and widows. The second Volunteer will be responsible for the general management of the programmes in our head office in Nairobi.

Successful Volunteer applicants will be drawn from the following countries: USA, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, German, Austria, Australia, Hong Kong among others.
